Hansen Nursery ships to all states except Wyoming by U.S. Postal Service, ground or Priority mail depending on your location, so that your plants arrive fresh and ready to plant in containers or in your garden. Our plants are shipped bare root and are packed gently in damp peat in plastic bags (or occasionally in their pots), thereby reducing shipping costs and maintaining their viability. Plant labels are attached to the plastic bags and these may be used in the garden or in pots for at least a year or two. You’ll want to replace them eventually as they are not meant to be permanent.
THIS YEAR Plants will be shipped bare-root on Mondays from late September to about mid-April depending on weather. There is no shipping to Wyoming or outside the United States.
Because we are a small nursery, we request that you mail your orders to us on the order form provided in the catalog, accompanied by a check or cashier’s check, as the cost of accepting credit cards, debit cards or PayPal is not economical for us at this time. However, this order process has the benefit of close personal service, practical advice and a human who answers the phone or returns phone calls and e-mails promptly.
